At Windhill Studios, we tell stories through sound.

We believe well-crafted sound is invisible, yet emotionally transformative.

We specialize in crafting compelling audio experiences for podcasts, audio fiction, film and commercials. Our team of talented editors, directors, sound designers, producers and composers are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible with sound.

Whether you have a script that needs to be taken from an idea to a finished product, a non-fiction series that needs scoring, or a show that needs a new ATMOS mix, we’re here to bring your sound to life.

OUR TEAM

Mark Henry Phillips

Mark founded Windhill Studios after two decades at the forefront of the podcast and radio industry. He began his career as a producer, editor, and reporter at prestigious NPR shows like On the Media and Radiolab. Mark has also worked on some of the biggest podcast hits that helped to shape the medium, including the first season of SERIAL and Gimlet's StartUp.

In 2016, Mark ventured into audio fiction and helped create the hit-series HOMECOMING. Since then, he has taken on multiple roles as a director, writer, editor, composer, and mixer for some of the most acclaimed audio fiction series to-date.

Mark believes that each of these roles is an interconnected discipline that must work together seamlessly to tell a compelling story. With this philosophy, he founded Windhill Studios as a company that can integrate all production elements into a cohesive, holistic experience for his clients. As a result, Phillips and Windhill Studios have become synonymous with exceptional audio storytelling.
